Peter Cohen, who successfully pushed through a request to demolish an Alfred Browning Parker-designed Modern-style house, may be a step closer to putting up a British Colonial house at 144 Wells Road. The saga stretched out Monday after the Palm Beach Town Council ruled that the local Architectural Review Commission (ARCOM) failed to give a fair review of Cohen’s plans for the replacement home. An amended version of Cohen’s proposed design will go back before the commission. Commission members said only a landmark quality house would be a suitable replacement.
