REIT stocks making a comeback

Real estate stocks have rose so far this quarter, easing Wall Street’s worries over access to capital markets. The Dow Jones Equity All REIT Index saw a 3.5 percent gain between the end of the second quarter and yesterday. The increase for real estate investment trusts’ stocks has offset some of the index’s second-quarter decline of 4.9 percent.
