Citizens hires back-up claims adjusters

Citizens Property Insurance Corp. said it has hired 150 temporary claims adjusters to handle potential damage claims from Tropical Storm Fay. In addition, Citizens Property, the state’s largest home insurer by volume, said it has another 2,300 “on call,” just in case the season’s sixth named storm causes much more damage than anticipated.
