Banco Itaú Europa International, Brazil’s second largest non-government
bank, has leased 38,143 square feet of office space on two floors of
the Wachovia Financial Center. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Banco Itaú purchased the Miami arms of BankBoston and ABN Amro last
year, the latter of which was already a tenant at the Class A office
tower, with a lease set to expire in 2012. Banco Itaú is hiring San
Francisco-based Gensler Architecture and Design to redesign the office
space, which will hold around 150 employees. The building, which is
located at 200 South Biscayne Boulevard, was built in 1984. Lend Lease
Real Estate Investments owns the building. TRD
