Palm Beach County saw a 4 percent jump in existing home sales in July from a year ago, but that still marks a sequential decline of 13 percent from June. Sales had risen for the five consecutive previous months, according to the Florida Association of Realtors. Condo sales jumped 16 percent in July from a year ago, while the median price of $152,300 dropped 19 percent from last year’s $178,200. South Florida’s housing slump likely will linger into 2009, analysts say.
