What housing crisis? That’s the approach of Scott Agran, head of Boca Raton-based Lang Realty, who will soon open his company’s fifth office. While many South Florida brokers are coping with the steep downturn in the housing market by closing offices, cutting staff and otherwise hacking expenses, Lang is now Palm Beach County’s fourth-largest brokerage based on sales volume, according to analysis of Multiple Listing Service data by Trendgraphix of Sacramento, Calif. Lang trails only Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Illustrated Properties Real Estate and Prudential Florida WCI Realty. Agran says growth is due to top-producing agents, even though the area market is in serious trouble.
