Prolific mortgage fraudster charged

Magile Cruz, 33, faces federal charges in a $24 million alleged mortgage fraud that involves a whopping 79 properties. She allegedly ripped off lenders using numerous aliases, and several companies, including South Florida-based Star Lending Mortgage and State Mortgage Lending, a Florida-licensed brokerage and lending company respectively. She has pleased not guilty.
