A Dubai Delano?

The operators of the trendy Delano hotel in South Beach want to bring its ambiance to a slightly less free-wheeling place. Morgans Hotel Group announced plans to open a Persian Gulf version of the Delano, right on the heels of the collapse of plans to open a Delano in Las Vegas. That project was scuttled because of poor financing options.  The Dubai hotel is slated to open in 2012. The Delano Dubai will feature three buildings of hotel rooms and condominiums, with gondolas ferrying guests throughout the complex, which will face the waters of the Persian Gulf.
