The new laboratory for La Jolla-Calif.-based Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies is nearly set to bring biotechnology to Port St. Lucie. The 107,000-square-foot laboratory at the Tradition development west of Interstate 95 got its temporary certificate of occupancy on August 27 and expects to get final approval to move in by October 1, institute President Richard Houghten said last week. It plans to start full-time operations in the $40 million building by February 1.
