Ocwen ranks last among mortgage servicers

Influential consumer rating group J.D. Power and Associates’ ranked Ocwen Financial, long criticized by homeowners for poor customer service, last in its annual mortgage servicer survey released Tuesday. Ocwen, a subprime loan specialist based in West Palm Beach, scored 616 points on a 1,000-point scale, placing it 26th of 26 companies. The industry average was 784. Atop the list were BB&T and SunTrust Mortgage.
