A buyer who says the seller of a $520,000 oceanview condo in Hallandale Beach failed to disclose that it would be hidden behind another high-rise building, is now suing the project’s developer, Duo Hallandale, and its title agent, former Hollywood Commissioner Keith Wasserstrom. Buyer Ron Kurtz is seeking the return of his $104,000 deposit. The Broward State Attorney’s Office has been investigating Celebrity Title and Triad Housing Partners, parent company of Duo Hallandale, for more than a year over $166,000 in fees paid to the former commissioner. Wasserstrom did not disclose the payments during a 2006 City Commission meeting at which he tried to push a Triad proposal that wasn’t on the official agenda. He was arrested on corruption charges related to a city contract.
