Palm Beach landmark limits sought

Town Councilman Denis Coleman wants to convince the rest of the council to limit the number of properties the Landmarks Preservation Commission can recommend for designation this season. The publication of a list of dozens or even hundreds of properties targeted for designation might disrupt the local real estate market, Coleman said. On Wednesday, preservation consultant Jane Day presented the board with a handful of potential landmarks, a short list of seven properties which included houses, storefronts and commercial buildings.
