Home prices and sales down nationwide

 
Existing home sales and prices fell nationwide in August. Home resales dropped 2.2 percent from July to 4.91 million, according to the National Association of Realtors. The median home price was down 9.5 percent to $203,000, compared to the same time last year. Meanwhile, inventory of previously owned homes fell 7 percent between July and August to 4.26 million.
