Palm Beach County commissioners voted Tuesday to start from scratch in its efforts to build a hotel next to the county convention center. Its deal with Delray Beach-based Ocean Properties to build a 400-room hotel there has ended. Palm Beach County Administrator Bob Weisman recommended termination of the agreement after the developer tried to change its terms, dropping the planned number of rooms to 340 from 400. The county will probably send out another request for proposals next year.
