Palm Beach plan pondered

The so-called “citizens’ master plan” for Palm Beach’s Royal Poinciana Way area is in the Town Council’s hands, but disagreement within the municipal government makes its future unclear. Councilwoman Susan Markin has voiced her disappointment with the plan, which was developed by the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, based on opinions from town officials, property owners and residents. Meanwhile, Councilman David Rosow said worries about zoning regulations crafted to fit the planning council’s suggestions could diminish the project’s architectural freedom and diversity. The planning council has suggested sweeping changes on Royal Poinciana Way, Sunset Avenue, Bradley Park and at the Royal Poinciana Plaza.
