The near-misses of the current hurricane season have prompted many Floridians to wonder if they haven’t been too hasty in dropping the wind damage coverage portions of their insurance policies. Hurricanes Gustav, Hanna and Ike swirled dangerously near South Florida, prompting many homeowners to consider beefing up their homeowners policies despite premiums that have doubled or even tripled in the last four years.
