Time to invest in land, panelists say

 
The economic downturn makes this a good time to purchase land,  particularly in states with growing populations, such as Florida, said panelists at a Miami Beach event hosted by the Colliers International land advisory practice group Friday. Speakers representing land acquisition funds said they were in the market for deals, and that this is a particularly good time to look for land outside of local markets because banks are looking to shed portfolios of bad debt.
