Some new communities in Miami
are slowing construction, or stopping it altogether, leaving homeowners who have
already bought and moved into units without neighbors or amenities. Almost
1,200 new single family homes in South Dade
are empty. In the Century Gardens
Village in West
Kendall, residents are waiting for a pool, clubhouse and tennis
court to be completed, and empty lots surround the already built homes.
