Decline in foreign tourism could hurt Fla.

The foreign tourists who have helped prop up South Florida’s
economy in recent months may disappear if Europe‘s
stock markets and the value of the euro continue to fall. European tourism
helped buoy South Florida‘s tourism industry
and economy even as the economic downturn began in the rest of the country.
But, at the current exchange rate, a vacation to Florida
from Europe next summer is expected to cost 10
to 20 percent more than it would have cost this summer.
