Broward leases thriving

Latin America’s prosperity has been great for Broward County’s commercial real estate. Duke Realty Corp., an Indianapolis-based company, has signed more than 270,000 square feet of leases at its West Broward offices. Ed Mitchell, senior vice president, says Broward is benefiting from an accessible labor pool, housing and highway access to become an alternative to the Miami market. Marriott International has leased 11,000 square feet at Weston Pointe I at 2400 North Commerce Parkway in Weston. CB Richard Ellis represented Marriott in the long-term lease transaction.
