Palm Beach County will get $27.7 million of the $4 billion the federal government is giving state and local governments to help buy and repair foreclosed and abandoned homes. The money will be earmarked for households earning $67,000 or less. Only Miami-Dade County, Orange County, and the state government will receive more than that $27.7 million that Palm Beach County is getting. Florida overall will get $541 million. The county commission must submit a plan for the money to the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development by December 1.
