Palm House building continues

Despite a break in construction, the Palm House project will continue, and a soft opening is now scheduled for between Oct. 15 and Nov. 1 of next year. The luxury boutique hotel that will replace the Heart of Palm Beach was originally scheduled to open this spring. Financing issues and owner Robert V. Matthews’ renewed focus on a project in Nantucket created significant delays, though the developer says he believes the project will make a Nov. 15, 2009 deadline.
