Florida’s attorney general has filed a lawsuit against Outreach Housing LLC, a Broward County debt-relief company. The company, against which more than 50 complaints have been made, allegedly told homeowners not to make monthly mortgage payments to their lenders but to pay 60 percent of those payments to Outreach in return for the company’s help reducing their mortgage debts. But the suit claims the company never helped to reduce its clients’ debts. [SFBJ] and [Sun-Sentinel]
