West Kendall may acquire land for park-and-ride

The Miami-Dade Transit Committee has authorized the West Kendall mayor and the city’s attorney to acquire a 2.8-acre site, currently owned by Florida Power & Light, for a park-and-ride lot. County commissioners must approve the plan November 20 for it to go forward. The costs would be split between the state’s Department of Transportation and the county, and construction would be completed by spring 2010.
