Cushman & Wakefield cuts back

Commercial real estate giant Cushman & Wakefield will be reducing its workforce and restructuring the company. It’s the second largest commercial real estate brokerage in South Florida, behind recently restructured CB Richard Ellis. Cushman & Wakefield had 36 full-time brokers and three offices in the tri-county region as of June. Company spokesman Martin Nee said the cuts were announced earlier this week to employees, and that the layoffs will only affect a “small percentage” of the company’s total workforce of 15,000. Nee declined to specify the extent of the cuts, saying Cushman, as a privately held business, has no plans to publicly disclose any numbers on a market-by-market basis.
