Blanca becomes chair of Miami-Dade development organization

Tere Blanca, senior managing director of Cushman & Wakefield of Florida, has been inducted as chair of Miami-Dade’s official economic development organization, the Beacon Council. Blanca, the first Hispanic woman to chair the council, plans to focus on relationships with businesses in other countries and on increasing economic development and job creation in Miami-Dade County. She also plans to hold a CEO forum for multi-national companies with Miami offices and to create a five-year plan for the Beacon Council. Blanca joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2003 and launched the firm’s West Palm Beach office. On the Beacon Council, she follows Pete Pizarro as chair. TRD
