Restoration and renovation of the 1886 Sea Gull Cottage, Palm Beach’s oldest house, remains on schedule, according to Calvin Campbell, a licensed general contractor monitoring the project for the Royal Poinciana Chapel. He said the 2,000-square-foot addition planned for its north side is framed and a replacement octagonal turret is in the works to replace one lost several decades ago. Project architect Jacqueline Albarran, of SKA Architects Planners, said she was pleased with the progress and results of the rehabilitation.
