Miami and Boston-based architecture and design firm ADD will design The
Fountains, a 415,000-square-foot community shopping plaza in
Plantation. The 45-acre project encompasses two parcels, one slated for
a retail repositioning and the other for new residential development.
Phase One of the residential portion, which includes the first two
towers, is currently under construction. Developer American Land
Ventures commissioned ADD, which has worked on other South Florida
projects, including the $3.5 million renovation and repositioning of
the renowned Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts at 1700
Washington Ave. in Miami Beach; 321 North, the $1.5 billion
redevelopment of the Plantation Fashion Mall; and the
environmentally-responsible Smart Growth master plan of The Village of
Marbella in Coconut Creek. TRD
