Court ponders property tax relief

The Florida Supreme Court is reviewing a citizen initiative for the
2010 ballot that would offer property owners more tax relief. The plan
would limit taxes to 1.35 percent of the highest taxable value of a
home, business or other real estate. State justices will determine if
the proposed state constitutional amendment covers only a single
subject and has a clear and accurate title and ballot summary.
