Owners opt for renting

As property owners opt to rent their homes and condos in hope of a
pickup in the sales market, Florida real estate veterans say several
principles should be followed. Tell tenants the house is for sale
before they sign the lease, and put procedures in place for tenants to
vacate if it sells. Give tenants a chance to make an offer. Create
incentives, such as cash payments, to help keep the house in salable
condition when it’s shown. The buyer’s market is turning some would-be
home sellers into landlords. Angela Dana of Dana & Co., a real
estate sales and property management company in West Melbourne, also
says it’s better for a landlord to take care of landscaping and other
factors he can control.
