Garage cost questions snarl Marlins stadium progress

Norman Braman, the chief critic of the Florida Marlins stadium
financing plans, wants to revive his quest for further accountability
on the $515 million project after learning that parking garages at a
new stadium could cost $77 million more than previously thought.
Braman, an auto dealer, is asking the court to allow new depositions
from City of Miami Manager Pete Hernandez, who had been working with a
$94 million estimate for parking facilities at a new baseball stadium.
But recently disclosed documents from the Miami Parking Authority
suggest the cost could be more like $142 million to $171 million.
