Socialite charged with mortgage fraud

A Palm Beach socialite has been indicted on two counts of mortgage
fraud, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida R. Alexander
Acosta announced today. Linda Gosman, wife of financier Abe Gosman, was
also charged with five counts of bankruptcy fraud and nine counts
related to illegal bank transfers. According to the indictment, Gosman
made false statements on two mortgage applications for property in
Miami and Jupiter. If convicted, Gosman could face a maximum jail
sentenceof 175 years.
