Grim times at realtor gathering

November 11, 2008 10:13AM

Realtors heard an uncharacteristic outpouring of pessimism during the
four-day gathering of the National Association of Realtors that ended
Monday in Orlando. Overpricing remains a common problem for sellers,
said Dirk Zeller of Bend, Ore., who drew a downward arrow to depict the
direction of home prices. National Association of Realtors Chief
Economist Lawrence Yun said 2008 will be the worst year for home prices
since the Great Depression, and Keller Williams CEO Gary Keller called
the market dire.
