Miami commissioners debate foreclosure program

Miami city commissioners today will
debate a proposed foreclosure prevention program and a plan that would
allow the city to hire
construction contractors more quickly for capital improvement projects.
The
foreclosure program would give homeowners in danger of foreclosure
$7,500 in forgivable loans. The construction plan would award contracts
for capital
improvement projects without the approval of the city commission.
