Developers Gil and Michael Dezer plan to upgrade Palm Beach
International
Raceway with a makeover, to cater to wealthy car enthusiasts. Plans
include a
private club and a garage with space for 80 cars. The developers have
already completed
renovations to the racing surfaces and replaced its ancient bathrooms.
The
raceway’s private club aims to attract as many as 350 members, and
charge $100,000 to $150,000 for a 30-year membership. Members will pay
an additional
$7,500 in annual dues, plus a storage fee if they keep
cars at the track.
