Fort Lauderdale’s city commissioners
last night unanimously approved plans for a project that includes a 215-room hotel, a 300-unit
residential condominium and an office complex on the southeast corner of
Broward Boulevard and Southeast Third Avenue
.
A former bank tower and a parking garage currently occupy the 3.9-acre site,
and developer One Financial Center Ltd. plans to keep those structures. Before
any construction, the developer must have its plans approved at public
hearings.
