Advocates not sure lenders are honoring promises

Promises from lenders to hold off on foreclosure sales during the
holiday season have not seemed to stem the tide of South Florida homes
scheduled for public auction this month. In Miami-Dade County, 933
homes are scheduled for auction in the next nine days, with a two-week
holiday break in auctions to follow. Meanwhile, court clerks in Miami-Dade and
Broward counties said they have seen no difference in the number of
auctions being scheduled.
