Foreclosures fell in November to the lowest level since June due to
new state laws that lengthen the foreclosure process, RealtyTrac
reported today. More than 259,000 homes received a foreclosure-related
notice in November, which is a 7 percent decrease from October but a 28
percent increase year-over-year. But foreclosures should increase again
in January as job losses leave people unable to hang onto their homes.
