Builder confidence remains at record low

Homebuilder confidence remains at a record low this month as builders
continue to see poor prospects for a housing turnaround, according to
the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo housing market
index. The index is at 9 this month for the second month in a row. An
index score of above 50 indicates a healthy market. The index has been
below 50 since May 2006 and below 20 since April of this year.
