Deerfield Beach mayor suspended

Deerfield Beach Mayor Albert Capellini, charged with taking payments
from a developer, was suspended Monday by Governor Charlie Crist. Capellini
is a four-term veteran. According to the felony arrest warrant,
Capellini was offered $16,500 by Deerfield Park Developers to plat a
project that he allegedly said the city would do everything
possible to expedite.
