Lennar, the country’s largest homebuilder by revenue, reported its
seventh straight quarterly loss. But the company’s loss of $811 million
was lower than the $1.25 billion loss the company experienced in fiscal
fourth-quarter 2007. Lennar said the loss was due to a decline in the
number of home deliveries and a 10 percent reduction in the average
sales price this year.
