Miami’s Brickell area, which began as a locale for banks and law firms
that featured few amenities for residents, is beginning to grow into a
more residential area. More shops, services and eateries are slated to
arrive in the next few years. About 8,000 new condos have opened in
Brickell since 2004. Mary Brickell Village, an open-air mall where
construction began in 2002, includes restaurants and retailers.
