The exteriors of six small businesses on Northeast Second Avenue
between Northeast 59th Street and 59th Terrace in Little Haiti will be
refurbished with money from a $225,315 Miami grant. The stores will get
impact-resistant windows, brightly colored walls, and new awnings and
signs. City officials said the upgrades should be completed by April
and hope they will help the struggling commercial street.
