Oliver, Glidden, Spina & Partners, a West Palm Beach architectural
firm, will begin the second phase of a renovation and remodeling
project at the private Bath & Tennis Club this summer. Plans call
for replacement of all doors and windows on the east, beach-level
portion of the 1926 Joseph Urban-designed landmark, as well as new
awnings, relocation of an entry, repairs to the wooden sun deck and
more. The 150-day first phase, completed by Hedrick Brothers
Construction on October 31, included remodeling and restoring the
kitchen, restoring the interior courtyard, constructing a handicap
access ramp from the lobby to the main dining level, restoring a
west-side loggia and expanding tennis locker rooms.
