Land swap for Florida Gaming

Miami-Dade County has completed an 11-acre land swap and purchase with
Florida Gaming in a $16.7 million deal. The
county got a half-acre right-of-way to be used for the Metrorail,
while Florida Gaming was able to expand its casino site from 8.6 acres.
Florida Gaming also got air rights over Northwest 37th Avenue, which
separates its current casino property from the newly acquired tract.
That, conceivably, would allow it to build a structure connecting the
two sides, which total almost 20 acres.
