The Florida Association of Realtors has released a profile of the
typical buyer and seller in the state, where the average buyer’s income
was less than the national average, and more than twice as many
immigrants bought homes. The 2008 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers
Florida Report, compiled from data from the National Association of
Realtors, said 25 percent of purchases were new homes, and 70 percent
statewide were single-family homes. The median sale price was $207,000,
above the national average of $204,000.
