State Senator Jeremy Ring, a Democrat from Parkland, said the construction and real
estate bubble in Florida is a house of cards that has toppled, and
state residents and politicians need novel solutions to the economic
crisis. A brainstorming session in Boynton Beach, one of a series of
town hall-style meetings, yielded suggestions for increased
entrepreneurship, tax credits for the film industry and roll back
regulations on commercial fishing. A similar session was held this morning in Miami.
