Fort Lauderdale hotel changes management

The Atlantic, one of Fort Lauderdale’s top-end hotels, is no longer managed by Starwood. The hotel management firm offered no details on
its departure, and new general manager Jon McGuann declined to discuss
the decision but said guests shouldn’t notice any difference in
service. The 166-unit condo-hotel will keep its name, and the
employees are expected to remain at their posts. Starwood will manage
the 482-room W hotel, scheduled to open March 1 two blocks away.
