Freddie Mac taps Ocwen for pilot loan program

West Palm Beach-based loan-servicing firm Ocwen Financial Corp. was chosen by Freddie Mac to join an experimental program designed to handle high-risk loans more quickly and to keep more at-risk borrowers in their homes. The loan servicer will boost customer service levels and get intensive attention to help delinquent borrowers use Freddie Mac’s workout opportunities. Freddie Mac will review the results in June.
