Hotels coming to Dania Beach

Hotel construction continues in Dania Beach despite a statewide slowdown, and the city has paved the way for more development. A 100-room Best Western Hotel, a Hyatt Summerfield Suites with 250 rooms and a Fairfield Inn and Homewood Suites are being built, along with a 50,000-square-foot office building. In October, the city approved plans for a 127-room TownePlace Suites. Officials said the expansion of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and more cruise ship activity in the area will create added demand.
